Privacy Policy

This policy covers Amicorrect (“we,” “us”), operated from Saskatchewan, Canada. The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) governs how we collect, use, and disclose personal information in connection with our commercial activities.

When you use Amicorrect, we collect: your email address; a plain-language description of your business or profession (which you can edit); the text you submit to be corrected and the corrected result; your stated AI tool preference; usage data needed to run the product (prompt count, streak, subscription tier); and payment details, which are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.

To prevent abuse of the free usage limit, we also retain a hashed (not raw) version of your IP address for a limited time. This hashed value cannot be reversed back into your actual IP address.

We use this information to run the product (generating your correction, tracking your free-prompt usage, remembering your Vault), to bill subscriptions through Stripe, to send account and billing emails through Resend, and to prevent abuse of the free tier.

Your prompts are never used to train public AI models and are never sold or shared with third parties.

We rely on a small number of service providers to run Amicorrect, each of which processes data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms:

• Supabase — database hosting and account authentication.
• Google (Gemini) — processes the text you submit in order to generate your correction. Amicorrect uses Gemini Flash Lite exclusively; no other AI provider ever sees your text.
• Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions.
• Resend — delivery of account and billing emails.
• Rewardful — tracks referral signups for our affiliate program, for users who arrive through a referral link.

We do not sell personal information to anyone.

Under PIPEDA, you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to further collection or use (which may limit or end your ability to use the product). To make a request, contact us at amicorrect@outlook.com. If you believe we have not handled your information properly, you may also file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We keep your account, prompt, and Vault data for as long as your account exists. Hashed IP data used for abuse prevention is cleared after 30 days. If you delete your account, contact us at amicorrect@outlook.com and we will remove your personal information except where we are required to keep records (for example, billing history) by law.
